Mengjiazhai Catholic Church: notice of suspension during repairs

孟家宅天主堂修缮暂停活动通知

Our translation of the Chinese

Notice
Dear parishioners, brothers and sisters in the Lord, greetings!

Mengjiazhai Catholic Church will shortly begin repair work. All activities at this church as a religious venue will be suspended from 8 July 2025 until 8 July 2026, when the repairs are to be fully completed. [The anticipated construction period is 12 months.] During this period, each parishioner should meet their religious needs by choosing a suitable nearby Catholic church for Sunday and weekday Mass according to their own transport arrangements; prayer at home is also possible. For special pastoral needs, the parish priest will remain available to serve parishioners who require assistance. We ask everyone to pray that the church repairs proceed in an orderly manner, meet the required quality and scope, are carried out safely, reach completion promptly and successfully, and allow the church to reopen.
